Most people would describe me as a transformative leader based on my innate curiosity and broad innovation and marketing prowess. My Dad was an independent furniture retailer and a natural marketer. He taught me the value of listening to customers and staying attuned to products and services to meet their needs. Over my career, I've applied that thinking to delve deep into consumers' met and unmet needs to develop successful business strategies and plans.
I bring a strong track record in leadership roles in large Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods companies, tech, consumer insight and data, start-ups and most recently in healthcare.
I believe that brand can be a strategic asset that when deployed effectively and can deliver not only bottom-line impact but loyalty among its employees, and engagement among its customers and community.
As an experienced marketing and retail leader, I’ve spent my career building successful brands with a combination of analysis and creativity. My mom was a computer programmer in the early 60s and my dad, a salesman and serial entrepreneur. I credit my parents who instilled a passion for facts and figures and nurtured a love people with the qualities that I bring to Out-Wit.
Throughout my career, I’ve gone all in when tackling the “impossible” situation and driving measurable change grounded in consumer insights.
I love a challenge, from building Walgreens’ first retail marketing department to developing their first integrated customer segmentation. I’m also credited with transforming Walgreens’ beauty business by differentiating the 8,000-item assortment by store cluster. I also have worked with start-ups to accelerate their growth. I believe the best solutions start with the customer by understanding their needs and wants. With a solid foundation of insights, brands can deliver products and services to meet those needs and wants in unique ways.
